Dallas Designer Showhouse Southlake, Texas
In 2017, I (Christi Tasker) produced a Dallas Showhouse sponsored by Traditional Home, Dallas’s D Magazine, and The Dallas Morning News.
The 7,935 sq. ft. showhouse was a benefit project to honor my grandfather who suffered with Alzheimer’s Disease. I invited Donna Moss from Donna Decorates Dallas and her husband to be the design builder host. Together, we had a great time inviting some of the most successful Dallas and west coast designers. Some are celebrity designers with celebrities and the media attending the grand opening. just outside Dallas, in Southlake, Texas, one of America’s highest-earning cities and home to celebrities and professional athletes.
The exterior of the Moroccan Modern-style designer dwelling showcases natural stone and stucco finishes, with iron detailing on the doors, windows, and lighting, and lush landscaping. Inside over 25 interior designers, architects and landscape architects went to work creating a spectacular showcase viewed by more than 5,000 visitors.
The home was open for viewing in September 2017 after I finally got T-Dot, Police, Sheriffs, City of Southlake Commissioners and two sets of county commissioners to open a segment of roadway that had been blocked for over two years. Everyone was sweating. I flew into Dallas and made it happen. In the end, everyone attended and everyone was happy, even the designers and politicians and especially the builder.
When I found Roxanne Taylor, the broker and local Dallas Engel Volkers owner, I found a jewel! Roxanne sold the home to a celebrity buy and donated a portion of the proceeds to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Our sponsors are listed below and I am grateful to each one. I highly recommend each one. They are all caring people behind trusted brands.
