When it comes to going green, I’m a HUGE fan. Being a manufacturer myself, I have sourced home decor products globally and I personally visit manufacturing facilities from China to Miami and beyond. In traveling to other countries, especially Europe I quickly began to notice the products and ingredients often used in American products are BANNED in other countries.
Then I realized the BANNED products are mostly made in China and many of the products are not even sold within China, they are only available in the USA. I began to research further to find only one manufacturer that actually makes 100% of all products in North America.
My transformation...
The last decade felt like a “trial and error” skincare journey!
When I went to Target, some marketing sucked me into buying a new serum or cutesy face mask or extra strength pimple cream. I honestly don’t even wanna know how many dollars I dropped on filling up my beauty cabinet over the years. When I say I tried a mountain of products, I mean it.
I’d invest money only to be left with, at best, really no help for my skin issues at all, and at worst? Raw, irritated, red skin, and a nice dash of disappointment on top.
Honestly, those are the two options I thought I’d have to settle with forever. Until things changed (and they didn’t change overnight!) and a third option revealed itself to me: improvement
After our second miscarriage in 2017, I switched to all-natural products and started to notice a change. Can I tell you how happy I was to actually start to like the face looking back at me in the mirror?
I didn’t necessarily want perfect skin, but I wanted to simply know that I was taking care of it ! I want to do that for my whole body where I can. And my face is, well, me! Q: I don't get why Non-Toxic is important?
Natural + non-toxic living in general is an individual choice, and we find that education is key! We have loads of helpful information on our blog explaining the importance of using natural products. At the end of the day, it’s important to remember that we are exposed to heaps of toxins on a daily basis (in the foods we eat, water we drink, technology we use, air we breathe and more) and it’s so important to make changes that are within our control (like the products we apply), because there are so many things we can’t control.
